Kevin Walsh was born in Yorkshire, England, in 1950. He studied illustration at Wakefield College of art.
In recent years, he has become increasingly known for a much wider range of subjects, landscapes, urban life in days gone by, and transport now occupies a prominent place among his works. Another of his subjects recently includes classic cars from the twenties to the sixties. Numerous limited-edition editions available from the Oakwood Grange collection are sent to collectors in the UK, USA, Australia, and Japan, to name a few countries. Precise technical and historical detail combined with the ability to capture the warmth and atmosphere of his subjects are the hallmarks of this wonderfully executed artist, and he travels for miles to explore his painting and spends a lot of time sketching before finally completing the canvas.
Kevin's work has been replicated on many greeting cards, puzzles, collectible plates, print publications, and leisure clothing to name a few of the products, and recent prestigious commissions have included the design of Harrods Christmas biscuits and cards.
