Peggy Davis
Drawing and creativity have been an important part of Peggy Davis' life since she was very young. Peggy was born and raised near Chicago, and as a child, it was not uncommon to find that she drew or made sketches. As a teenager, her creative interests continued to grow, and she attended art classes for all 4 years of high school.
Peggy considers herself self-taught because she has not attended any formal classes. She loves all materials and often experiments with several, although she prefers acrylic. Davis uses a wet acrylic painting technique, meaning she quickly paints in layers of wet color. Her paintings tend to look like stained glass windows filled with movement and sometimes a three-dimensional view. Using bright colors with a whimsical shade, Davis often depicts trees and flowers in his works.
