Paolo Veronese
Paolo Caliari, known asPaolo Veronese (Italian: Paolo Veronese, 1528, Verona-1588, Venice) — one of the most prominent painters of the Venetian school.
In his youthful works ("Madonna", the remains of frescoes from Casa Contarini, frescoes of Villa Soranzo and Villa Fanzolo), you can find the characteristic features of the Verona school with its delicate color, but at the same time a certain freedom in creating artistic images, which the author owed to the influence of the Raphael school.
At the age of 27-28 years, he was called to Venice to decorate the sacristy of the Church of St. Sebastian and performed so well the task assigned to him that until 1570 he was constantly involved in work for this Church and the monastery that existed there, and after his death was honored to be buried in this Church.
