Лагорио Л.Ф.

Lev Feliksovich was born in Feodosia, in the family of a merchant, merchant, mason Felix Lagorio (1781-1857), vice-consul of the Kingdom of Both Sicilies, who came from an aristocratic Genoese family. He graduated from the Feodosiya Gymnasium. His passion for drawing and love of the sea determined his future fate and the main theme of his work[3]. In 1839-1840 he studied in the Feodosiya workshop of I. K. Aivazovsky. In 1842, with the assistance of the Governor of Tavria A. I. Kaznacheev, he entered the Imperial Academy of Arts, where he studied at the expense of Duke Maximilian of Leuchtenberg. His teachers were A. I. Sauerweid and M. N. Vorobyov, then B. P. Villevalde.
