Famous photographer Gail Goodwin masterfully captures the magic and whim of childhood. Her use of film photography and hand-coloring, combined with a sharp look at period set design and a flash of fashion, leads to striking images of vintage style.
From an early age, Gail knew that she wanted to be an artist. Her first creative endeavor was to paint pictures with her father at her childhood home in southern California. In high school, Gail experimented with colorizing black-and-white photos, discovering her own award-winning style of tinted photography.
She studied at the Brooks Institute of photography and rhythmic gymnastics. In 1977, Gail began her professional career.
