Gary Patterson
Gary Robert Patterson (born November 16, 1941) is an American cartoonist known for his distinctive works that humorously depict the potential difficulties inherent in sports, the daily dramas taking place in the workplace, and hilarious portraits of pets — all in difficult situations that help people appreciate and laugh at the brighter side of life..
Around 1980, Gary noticed a small brown mouse that kept him company when he was working late at his art studio. Soon, Gary called him Boo and started bringing him food in brown bags with Twinkies cookies and cheese. Then Boo began to appear in all his drawings. Now the mouse is present in every illustration. Sometimes it's easy to miss Boo among the detailed images of Gary filled with tiny bits of humor, but look closely and you'll find him.
