Charlotte Joan Sternberg
Charlotte Joan Sternberg (1920-2003) was an American artist.
Sternberg was born in Meriden, Connecticut, in 1920. Her parents encouraged her interest in art. She studied at Yale University and received a degree in fine arts in 1942.
She lived in New England and drew inspiration for her work in that region. Although she mostly painted portraits at the beginning of her career, landscapes brought her the most fame. She painted farms and small American towns. Egg tempera was her favorite material. Charlotte became a commercial illustrator.
