Over the past two decades, Andy Thomas has developed an iconic visual language that is unique to him. Using a combination of digital technology and watercolors, Thomas ' work is a symbolic representation of the collision of nature with technology. Inspired by the beauty of nature and an extensive journey into some of the world's most ancient rainforests, Thomas merges images of flora and fauna into developed abstract forms. Complex layered compositions of plants and animals make us talk about the impact of technology on the planet Earth and how changes in society affect the natural systems of life. In recent years, Thomas has started experimenting with digital audio software, initiating a new branch of his practice. This new series of animated video devices visually represents the voices of nature and creates an eerie environment of sound and light.
